Bundoran St. Patrick’s Day Parade 2010 Date: Wed. 17th March 2010 Time: 3:30 pm Place: Bundoran Duration: 1 hour (approx) Theme: Clean and Green Bundoran is pulling out all the stops for this year’s Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Stilt Walkers, dry land surfers, bands and animals will all be joining the parade this year and watch out for some original and unusual costumes and groups. The Parade starts at 3:30 pm at the Top Service Station at the East End of Bundoran and will continue down the Main Street, past the Judges at the Holyrood Hotel and on up to the West End Playground where it will turn and make its way back down as far as Church Road so the participants can meet at the Magh Éne VEC Hall for the prize-giving ceremony. You can look forward to entertainment throughout Bundoran before and after the day’s main events. A special consideration was given this year to the newly reformed Bundoran Tidy Towns group and the St. Patrick’s Day Committee and Bundoran Town Council have invested in local students to provide them with professional stilt-walking skills that benefit Bundoran and the students in the longer term. Hot from the presses we can reveal that the Bundoran 2010 St. Patrick’s Day Parade has been selected as one of only five in the North West that will be covered by RTE News so wear your best bib and tucker and we’ll see you on the day.
